Silvia graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb and from the Design Studio at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, spezializing in product design. She is professionally active in interior, product, and graphic design. She founded the studio "SJ industrial & interior designer", and became the director of Ergoproxi d.o.o. As a product designer she has designed: ICN tilting train (interior and exterior) for Croatian Railways, "Croatian Bathroom-ARIA" - bathroom equipment project created in cooperation with five Croatian manufacturers and Croatian Chamber of Economy, interior of the Naklada Ljevak bookstore, Skalinada restaurant, and many other private and business interiors.

She has exhibited her projects at ISH Frankfurt, MOS Celje-Slovenia and TDZ Lauba-Croatia. She participated in the design jury at the International Furniture Fair 2014 and 2017. She won the Packaging Design Award at the 38th Salon "Alberto Tossi" in Milan for the Mediplast Collection.

In her work, she seeks to realize the interaction between man and the objects through emotions, to question the way we perceive our environment and stimulate reflection on it. She considers it is necessary to constantly communicate the importance of design as an integral part of the economy, industry and culture. 

She is currently President of the Union for Industrial Design - ZzID of the Croatian Chamber of Economy.
