She is a 21-year old Interior Design Student at the American University of Sharjah, currently in her Junior Year. She pursued the sciences at high school, despite having shown an attraction towards the creative arts from the beginning. While researching different industries to pursue her undergraduate studies, she came across the Design field courses of Architecture and Interior Design. It was at this point that she started researching more about these courses and the different fields that they deal with. Interior Design had a stronger attraction, due to its power to create a stronger connection to the human scale and senses. So far, her journey has been very enriching in terms of her exposure to understanding that Interior Design deals with various aspects of our daily lives, from designing a kitchen to suit a particular type of cuisine, equipment for understanding a culture and how it operates for better design results. She understands that it a very integrated industry that requires her to deal with professionals from all walks of life, from engineers and architects to plumbers and painters. She is looking forward to experiencing how firms operate in real life during her internship in summer 2017.
