Maria Stepanova

Maria was born in Kirov, a small Russian town, but she grew up in Moscow. She just entered the field of industrial design this winter. She studied machine building technologies at the Moscow State Technical University, sometimes colloquially referred to as the Bauman School, and graduated in 2015 with distinction.

She worked as an engineer at an engineering plant, but at the age of 25, she realized that she wanted a more fulfilling career, where she could create various useful products for everyone. That is the reason why she chose industrial design, a field where her creativity meets her engineering expertise. Recently, she graduated from the school of industrial design at the Higher School of Economics. She strives to make things that are sustainable and eco-friendly. Her hobbies are ceramics and volunteering for the Downsideup Foundation.
