Introdução

Roca One Day Design Challenge returned to Malaysia in 2021.

Due to the restrictions imposed by the current pandemic context, this year the contest was held in an online format.

In this way Roca continues to fulfill the goal of promoting creativity and young talents, giving visibility to young architects and designers in the early stages of their careers.

Participants were asked to reinvent the washbasin area for a public restroom, adding value to the standard product offerings available today.

The winner of the first prize was Aishah Karmila Anwar with her project "Dance Basin", chosen because of its organic shape, its functionality and its conservation of water

The second prize was for the project "Multibasiin", designed by Lim Chen Hee . The jury considered that the project stood out due to its well design, adaptability to all users in public restrooms, and aligment to the briefing.

Finally, the project "Bottela", created by Tan Ling Rong, was awarded with the third prize due its innovation, its portability, its way of saving water and the good presentation
