Introdução

An onsite edition of Roca One Day Design Challenge was back on its fifth year in Oman after last year’s online special edition. The students were challenged to test their skills on design by adding storage on every bathroom product. To integrate a storage on a bathroom product as well as focusing on its functionality and characteristics must be developed to its design.

The first prize was awarded to project INVISIBLE designed by Waad Alzadjali and Reem Alzadjali both from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences. The jury chose this project because of its design strength, the designer integrates two systems in one unit, and the most important thing is it also adds a storage.

Project SLIMOR won second prize created by Mohammad Hasham and Khloud Al Rawahi. Mohammad has a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Middle East College, Oman, affiliated with Coventry University, UK and currently works as an Assistant Project Manager at STI Engineering, and Khloud is a student from Sultan Qaboos University. The jury chose this project based on its outstanding presentation. Its design is aesthetically appealing and luxurious with the use of new materials.

The project designed by Awais Rauf an Architect from AAR Interiors was awarded with the third prize. The New All in One project was chosen by the jury because of its flexibility in design with more storage and less consumption of spaces, it has functionality and use of green materials featuring sustainability.
